Ringbow – Next Generation Gaming Accessory by Ringbow — Kickstarter

It was 2013 and I thought to myself this looks a good idea, a nice way to support a project and if the project fails I get my money back.

We are now in 2020 living through a pandemic and with a little time on my hands I thought I would see if Kickstarter had at long last honored the agreement and given us back the money.

The short story was this was in its basic form this was a con, a very good one but a con, the backers invested hard earned money and the bastards stole every penny, Kickstarter is not always the platform that acts morally or ethically although many other projects have been successful they have let themselves and the backers down,

The bottom line here is Kickstarter let the creator get away with theft, they could have honored there agreement and refunded the backers they have not done so, they could have written the debt off as a loss but they have elected to not do so, they have let the community down.

2,279 backers pledged $135,002 to help bring this project to life and Kickstarter has acted with disregard and only profit on there minds.

So a word of warning in respect to Kickstarter, pay your money and pray there seems little other option.

We the backers:

invoke our rights under Kickstarter’s Terms of Use:

“Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill.”

I demand a full refund for my pledge amount.
